Packaging First B2B E-Commerce Website

Earlier this month we launched a brand new custom B2B e-commerce site for Packaging First.

Part of the “Bong” group of companies, Packaging First manufacture and supply solutions for distribution and packaging of materials and lightweight goods. It is the largest producer of envelope products in Europe. The Bong Group has annual sales of approximately SEK 2.5 billion and about 1,800 employees in 16 countries.

The directors of the business recognised that their previous website was lagging behind their competitors’ sites – in both aesthetics and functionality. They enlisted the services of Vizulate to create an online ordering experience for their new and existing trade customers to rival other online B2B packaging manufacturers.

As well as a streamlined ordering and trade account application and approval process, the website also features customer specific products and pricing, stock and order syncing between Sage and WooCommerce via our Woosage solution, as well as a product customiser that allows customers to add their own branding to an expanding range of products.

Speaking about the development and launch of the new website, Packaging First Director Richard Collins said: “This was a complex project due to the sheer amount of product data we had, the data manipulation and syncing between various systems, and the automation we sought. However, I have to say that we have been impressed with Vizulate’s meticulous attention to detail and desire to deliver the best possible website for us – and the best experience for our customers.

“They highlighted and resolved many potential issues before they even arose and, whenever an issue did inevitably present itself, they offered several solutions that best suited our business – they never looked for the ‘quick fix’, but the right fix. In the end I think they probably know our products as well as we do now and we are pleased to have them supporting us as our digital partner.

“We are thrilled with the new website. Not only do we expect it to increase our online sales by making it easier for our customers to place orders, but we also expect to improve our efficiency with many previously labour intensive tasks now being automated via the website.”
